Reay School

The school are very keen to enable children to use NetBook (mini-laptop) computers in class and at home to help with learning. Children have really enjoyed using software to produce short animations amongst other things.

The school is not yet in a position to really advance the programme because parents are concerned that bringing even small laptops in and out of school may expose children to street robbery.

This is an understandable fear although there are many schools that do run programmes like this without problems.

A number of parents have been given NetBooks as part of a smaller project and the school hopes to build on experience of this.
